DIY Mermaid Scrub

Who doesn’t like a nice detoxifying scrub?

A few weeks ago, I posed on my instagram page, a picture of my #DIY #MermaidScrub - a delicious scrub that smells like the sweetness of the ocean!

The last few months of my sabbatical and the lockdown, I’ve been really curious about DIY projects, particularly beauty products. Its fascinating how expensive some of these things are - and for what reason? You can literally make a scrub for under $5 This mermaid scrub was a bit more expensive to make and that has to do with the powerful detoxifying ingredients.

Here are the instructions for how to make your sensational mermaid scrub:

You’ll need the following:

  1. 1/2 Vanilla Epsom Salt (or regular kind)

  2. 1/2 Fine Sea Salt

  3. 1 Tbsp of European Clay

  4. 1 Tbsp of Spirulina Powder

  5. 1/4 Cup of Coconut Oil in Liquid Form

  6. Mixing Bowl and a Spoon

This is how to do it:

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and stir. The scrub should look like granulated green crystals! You can store it in a small -medium size plastic wear container or a glass jar.
